Friends, Family Remember Paul

A memorial service was held this past Sunday (May 11) in
Herald, California for horseman Paul Keays, who passed away
earlier this month at age 59 after a year and a half-long
battle with cancer.
The Canadian native is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jo;
his mother Loretta, who is 90; four sisters and one brother.
Paul had many top performers over the years, with three of
the best being the pacer Van Rhet and the stakes-winning
trotters Oso Speedy and So Fast. For the past dozen years,
he has concentrated on horseshoeing while also training a
small group of trotters.
